Song: Native New Yorker — Odyssey
Native Yorker is a love song for the self. I feel so main character, so in my zone, so Carrie Bradshaw in a little fur coat and Manolo’s strutting down 5th Ave, mid 2000’s. It reminds me to breathe, and enjoy life.

Being truly in love for the first time showed me that when you know, you know. You feel it in a way that can’t be explained unless you have experienced it yourself. You just know that this love is THE love.

It feels great to listen to this song once you’ve moved past the healing phase in a relationship and have experienced life without constantly thinking about them. I’ve always playfully told my closest friends that it's a privilege to know me, and what could be better than belting out the lyrics to a song that says, "you don’t know me anymore"?

Aside from being a great contender for a sexy Bond theme, “Sour Times”reminds me that love can be peculiar and even feel illogical — “nobody loves me, not like you do”.
Song: St. Patricks Day — John Mayer
It brings you through the life cycle of a love story and reminds you that sometimes all we want is just someone to spend the holiday with.
Song: First Love — BADBADNOTGOOD
An instrumental journey that captures the whimsical nature of falling in love :) words without words and plenty of feeling
Song: goodnight n go — Ariana Grande
This has been mine since college. It always took me back to the start of a relationship where you just wanted to be close to the person but were afraid that you’d fall for them too hard.
Song: Kiss Me — Sixpence None The Richer
Soft yet nostalgic reminder that sparks feelings of innocent love & romance. An imprint my heart hopes to experience again soon.
Song: Hard To Explain — The Strokes
This one always reminds me of that weird, slightly scary stage of a romance, where you still are so head over heels for the person, but you’re afraid to mess things up. There’s a line towards the end, “I say the right thing but act the wrong way,” that hits every time, lol. I guess it’s sort of like being at the top of a rollercoaster waiting for the drop.
Song: Just Want To Hold You — Luke Reed
This song feels like the start of a movie or maybe a montage—one of those scenes where everything is just beginning. The lyrics are kinda melancholic, but somehow, the whole thing still gives me that giddy, new-love feeling.
Song: Something About Us - Daft Punk
Sometimes love is hard to explain, and this song embodies an undeniable connection between two people even if it can’t be put into words :)
